As a food PR agency, we realise the importance of interacting with digital titles. Bloggers and vloggers are becoming major influencers and it’s vital that a brand doesn’t ignore this. There are so many blogs out there, that it’s sometimes difficult to know where to start, but perhaps one of the best ways is to talk face to face, so, this year, we hit the road donning our ‘event management hat’ and headed to various blogging events to spread the word.
As most of our food PR clients have Christmas-inspired collections, our activity was focused in September – when most were looking for festive inspiration. Having samples to taste always works – and gives us the opportunity to talk about the products in greater detail! So, at both the Bloggers Festival in London and the Blog On MSI in Manchester we were armed with an array of goodies.
These were great events and we made lots of great contacts which resulted in an abundance of fantastic product reviews as well as recipe creation and competitions. It also resulted in one brand engaging more formally with an upcoming successful blogger and we’re currently working on the 2017 campaign (so watch this space).
